Edwin Waldvogel (1915-2006)
Although I never felt that we had much of an avuncular relationship, I sat directly in front of him as he preached for many years. His words permeated my heart and inspired in me an intense desire to know God and seek Him for myself. Although we had very few personal conversations, I always felt a sense of closeness to him. Not because I knew him very well, or felt that he knew me, but simply because his ministry brought me into a realm of understanding and experience that was so completely transcendent, as to make our relationship relatively insignificant. I am grateful for his life and ministry.
